Please contact your insurance to verify that The Nightingale Center (Berendzen Mental Health Services) is an accepted provider, and if you are requesting telehealth services that it is also covered under your plan.

Please note, if you are being seen via telehealth you MUST be in Iowa at time of the visit (regardless of whether or not you have an Iowa address) in order for services to be covered.

Our Policies
No Show/Late Cancellations
It common practice for small private practices to charge fees for late cancelations/reschedules, no shows, and late shows. This is because it is hard to fill the time that has already been dedicated to you as a patient.
We require 24 hours
(1 business day) notice
otherwise a fee of $100 for medication management appointments,
$75 for therapy sessions will be charged to your credit care on file.
These fees are NOT covered by insurance
We understand life happens, so each patient will have one time waived,
before charges will occur.

Medication Refills
Please request refill via Spruce.
We don't always here from pharmacies, so it is your responsibility to follow-up if needed.
Medications will not be refilled outside of business hours including nights and weekends.
You must allow 48-72 hours for refills to be processed. It is your responsibility to request a refill in a timely manner.
We have the right to refuse refills at any time.

If you are not an established patient and are contacting us about scheduling or canceling an appointment, we will do our best to contact by the end of the next business day.​

We DO NOT provide comprehensive 24-hour services
